The creatures are an exhibit called The Ancestor, and family, 2009 by Andrew Mockett from Precious: Reclaiming Art and Craft showing at Hove Museum & Art Gallery from 30 January to 23 May 2010. They're made from vinyl estate agents boards, plastic storage containers, foam and metal and are displayed on the Jaipur Gate outside the museum.
Tall hedges aren't everyone's cup of tea, particularly as a feature between two front gardens. This New Church Road hedge flourishes greenly on the far side, but has been cut back (some might even say butchered) on this side.
I like primulas. They remind me of my dad who grew dozens of them every year in his greenhouse. This colourful show was outside a florist in Blatchington Road.
