I am afraid I do not have much sympathy. However that said I renewed my tax disc online Sunday night and have a piece of paper on dash saying waiting for new disc, parked up last day or two and have not yet looked at my car since then. Am hopeful though.
It's not a good idea to park in a Disabled bay if you're not entitled to do so; it's an even worse idea when your car tax has expired.

And over the line! The car's certainly been disabled even if they weren't!
