It's a good year for garden spiders

I noticed dozens of small, large and medium-sized garden spiders on my way to Tesco this morning. This was the biggest one with a body about 15mm long and pretty markings.

Hove War Memorial 2

Unlike some other war memorials, this memorial does not display the names of the fallen. The Roll of Honour commemorating the names of the 631 men who died during World War I is in the foyer of Hove Library.
