Seafront shelter
It's a constant battle repairing and refurbishing the seafront fixtures which are battered by rain, wind and salt spray each year. Work is well under way on this shelter at the Hove end of the seafront.

The tower
I walk past the tower of St Andrew's Old Church on the way to the supermarket; I do think the turret and battlements give it a certain fairytale look.

It's nice...
...to see sunshine, shadows and a blue sky after so many grey, overcast days. It makes everywhere look better, even Hove Street, and leaves me feeling much more cheerful.

Looking rather sad
I have a tiny, exposed-to-the-elements balcony outside my living room. This winter's weather has really taken its toll on the plants, particularly the snow which was followed by heavy rain and frosts. The brown mass on the left of the photo was a beautiful orange-scented pelargonium which survived the previous winter happily. Looks like I'll be plant shopping later in the year.

Out of the window
I usually have a lovely view out of the side window in my living room: I can see the sea beyond lines of rooftops. Today, there's heavy sea mist obscuring the view.
