Shadows, Hove Street

Another sun and shadows photo taken a couple of days ago. The weather has reverted to its usual January greyness today but it's still mild for the time of year.

Still sunny

Another lovely day down here on the south coast (what's going on with the weather, I wonder). The trees are near the entrance to my local Tesco supermarket and looked very attractive this morning with their branches highlighted by bright sunshine.

As well as seaweed and shells, there's an awful lot of man-made rubbish amongst the shingle including the top of a metal water bottle, plastic rope and cable.

Lots of broken shells - on a shingle beach, shells get so battered that it's almost impossible to find a complete specimen - and many different kinds of seaweed. One thing I must do in the near future is to get hold of a seaweed identification guide so I can start to identify more than plain old bladderwrack....
