Renewal

The lawns in the Pavilion Gardens get a huge amount of wear during the warmer months of the year and they're repaired/renewed annually with either grass seed or turf.

Shrouded

Renovations are under way on the roof of the Best Western Princes Marine Hotel on Kingsway - those neat rows of stitching holding the tarpaulins together make it look like a giant soft sculpture....

Ignoring today's greyness

Today is grey. Damp, cold and grey. Here's one from the archives (September 2010) when both sky and sea were blue and sunlight made tiny sparkles across the water.

Indian Gate

The southern entrance to the Royal Pavilion estate is marked by the Indian Gate, a gift from India. There's more about the Indian Gate here, including photographs and film of the unveiling in October, 1921.
