Hot, hot, hot
The weather's very hot and sunny by the seaside and it's set to continue over the next few days. Bright sunshine, high temperatures and blue skies feel strangely wrong when trees are already shedding their leaves.

House name
I hadn't come across the word tye before noticing this house name. I had a hunt on the net and found out it's an old Sussex word meaning a patch of common land, often a village green.

Friday's view as seen today
I love today's light sea/dark sky view from my balcony. Leaves are turning brown and starting to drop from the trees and there's a distinctly autumnal nip in the air. Even though we Brits moan (and moan) about our changeable weather, I can't imagine living somewhere where it's warm all year round.
