Different

Sir John Hindmarsh
Family gravestone of Sir John Hindmarsh, St. Andrew's Old Church, Church Road.
The inscription reads: Sacred to the memory of Rear Admiral Sir John Hindmarsh, Knt. K. H. who died on the 29th. of July 1860 aged 76 years.
Also in memory of Susannah Wilson Lady Hindmarsh, the beloved wife of the above who died on the 2nd. of April 1859 aged 73 years.
Also in memory of Ann Hindmarsh, sister of the above who died on the 13th. of February 1859 aged 70 years.
Prepare to meet thy God.

As the weather gets a little colder, thoughts turn to buying a new jacket for keeping out the autumn chills. In common with most other clothes shops, QS in Blatchington Road is a season ahead and already having a clearance sale of autumn jackets to make space for their winter range.

John Barnett
Family gravestone of John Barnett, St. Andrew's Old Church, Church Road. The inscription reads: In memory of John Barnett who died 11th April 1871 in the 70th year of his age. Also of Eliza, his beloved wife who died 20th October 1883 in her 75th year. And of Ann Edwards, sister of the above Eliza Barnett, died 25th November 1886 in her 85th year.

Gravestone of Elizabeth Croft, St. Andrew's Old Church, Church Road. The inscription reads: Sacred to the memory of Elizabeth, youngest daughter of Herbert Croft Esqre.. formerly of Charterhouse London, she departed this life on the 2nd of Octr. 1856 in the 87 year of her age.

The inscription reads: Sacred to the memory of Lieut Colonel Henry Hebden. Late 5(?)th Regiment. Died October 24th 1879, in the 90th year of his age.
And of Mary Ann, widow of the above. Died March 18th 1887.
Believe and thou shall be saved.
