Appreciated

Monday was a beautiful day weather-wise with the bonus of a lovely colourful sunset. Sandwiched between two cold, wet and dark days, the warm sunlight was much appreciated!

A reminder

I'll be at Cornerstone's Christmas Market with hand-dyed yarn, beaded stitch markers and beaded jewellery on Saturday, December 6, from 11am to 3pm. Do come along and say hello!

Two new teas to try

I'm on the look out for a drink-every-day winter tea. I like flavoured black teas, particularly the spicy blends. These 20g sample packs are from the Bluebird Tea Co. shop in Gardener Street, Brighton, and each £3 pack contains enough tea to brew about 10 cups.

Four seasons in one day

Rinse-and-repeat weather down here by the sea over the last few days. This is Vallance Road caught at a brief cloudy moment between bright sunshine/blue skies and gales/downpours.
You can see more sky photographs at this week's Skywatch Friday.

Mutant Space Cherries

I came across this empty box in Hove Street this morning (it was Bonfire Night yesterday) and just had to Google Mutant Space Cherries. There's a video here; have to say that the name is much more fun than the actual firework!

Spicy!

I recently discovered that The Spice Shop has a branch in Gardner Street, Brighton. Spices, herbs, garlic, chillies and unusual chocolates. You only get eight wedges in the tiny tin but the chocolate was delicious.

Rich red

I like the colour change of hydrangea flowers at this time of year. This glorious specimen is growing in a garden along Raphael Road.

Theme Day - Landmark

My favourite local landmark has to be the architectural quirkiness that is Brighton's Royal Pavilion.
Visit the City Daily Photo Page for November to see other entries following this theme.
