Cheerful in red
This weekend, I'm stuck at home with a filthy cold so no new photographs to post. The amaryllis bulb was a Christmas present and it's flowered really well. I think it's such a shame the showy flowers have no perfume.

Snowless
This morning the weather's sunny without a sign of snow even though much of the country is blanketed by the stuff. Maybe later today, according to the Met Office's current yellow warning for London and South East England.

Rinse and repeat...
Another cold and sunny day and tomorrow's forecast indicates that the weather will be much the same. Photo shows the corner of Vallance Gardens and Vallance Road looking towards the Connaught in Hove Street.

i360 update
Work continues on Brighton seafront for the i360 observation tower; this photograph was taken on the last day of 2014 looking west with the Alfresco Bar & Restaurant in the distance. More information about the i360 is on the project's website including the latest newsletter.

Fox running downhill
At first sight, I thought this was a painted fox. Moving closer, I realised that he's made out of painted cardboard stuck to the wall. The fox is outside Starbucks on the corner of Lansdowne Place and Western Road.

Walking into Brighton on the same day I took yesterday's photograph in Hove, I passed the remains of Brighton's West Pier.

Sunday blue sky
Norfolk Square, Brighton, from the south. It's another lovely day at the seaside; looking at this photo you'd never believe how cold, wet, windy and dark it was yesterday.

Theme Day - Photo of the Year
Taken in June, this photograph of clouds reflected in the huge windows of Brighton's Jubilee Library is my favourite one of 2014.
Happy 2015 to you all!
