This is the top section of a huge Victorian lectern in St Paul's designed by John Hardman Powell in 1885. Many lecterns from this period are shaped like eagles; this one represents St John the Divine's vision of the Angels of the Apocalypse.This is the last of my guest blogger Liz's photos - back to normal tomorrow!
