My trust is in thy mercy

Grave of Edgar Corrie (1787-1862) and memorial to his wife Margaret (1790-1885), St. Andrew's Old Church, Church Road. The inscription Whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die is from St. John 11:26.
You can see more gravestones and memorials over at this week's Taphophile Tragics.

Birds and their droppings!

I like the design of that top bit. Satisfies my need for symmetry.

Now there is a line there, beneath Margaret's details, that leads me to think she is not actually buried beneath this memorial. HOw sayest thoug? Where is this place 'Sneed Newbury'?

Love that design on the top part of the headstone! It reminds me both of a ship's wheel and some ancient cross symbol!

I like the design of this one - though I had to twist my head around to read the circle inscription!
